I don't officially fail Camp NaNoWriMo until 4/30/16, but I know I have failed this year. How? The goal I set for myself was to write 70,000 words in April. I managed to write 50,503 words. Now I know many of you would say, "You've still got time! Just keep writing."
However, I finished the story and I feel like that is a win for me as an author. The story I wanted to tell is out in it's full birthday suit glory. It needs some refining and a lot of work before it can be made public, but I really enjoyed writing it and I look forward to polishing it up.
So I may have failed Camp, but I won for myself by writing the full story and besides, 50,503 isn't too shabby!
