What’s the best thing about being a writer?

The freedom to write, create, and do whatever I want in my books! I can create entire worlds just for the fun of it. It's great to have freedom to do what I want in a story. Sometimes when I read a book I feel like there are events that I wish hadn't happened and when I write my books I get to decide if those events happen or not.

How do you get inspired to write?

My inspirations vary from a lyric in a song to a piece of scenery I see as I am driving and imagine an epic battle or sweet scene happening. There have been times that I think about what I want to read and then decide instead of searching for that book to just write it!

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Write! Don't think about if people will like your book or if you're good at writing or not, just write! Get those words on paper and get that story written! I recommend participating in NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) to everyone, even those who think that they can't write, because it is fun and sometimes having that deadline can help you. People often don't finish a novel and I believe that the most important thing is just to write. You may never publish your first novel, but it will help you learn what works and what doesn't and practice helps everyone improve!
