Book Review: The Elite

3 stars

The Elite (Book 2 of the Selection Series) by Kiera Cass

This is book two from The Selection Series. If you do not want to read spoilers regarding the first book, please do not read my review.

That being said I finished this book a few moments ago finding myself liking America less and less. She’s so wishy washy and I understand that most teenage girls are that way. Plus, she isn’t in an easy position. Still, I can’t believe that she is entertaining the idea of Aspen. Okay, that’s a lie, I understand that he’s safe and she knows that he truly loves her, but come on! I was worried I was going to get whiplash with how much back and forth America had going on in this book. At this point I do want her to become Princess, but I’m not really a fan of either Maxon or Aspen. If only there was a great prince who could come out of the mist to steal her away. ::sighing dreamily:: I also feel bad for Maxon because America keeps pushing him away when he’s done nothing, mostly nothing, but show her how he feels about her. This about more than a cute crush or who you could kiss. This is about your future and you becoming Princess. This is about giving yourself a better life with someone who cares about you despite this being a televised entertainment show. I’ve got book three waiting for me and I’ll be reading it soon so I can find out what happens to them and finally have the answer of what America is going to do.
