Demons, an assassin, and a woman who can’t seem to catch a break. This book had so many ups and downs that I had no idea where Muse was going to end up at. Muse has had a rough life, but she’s learned from it and was making a name for herself in the human world without anyone's help. At least until she meets a man who isn’t what he appears to be. She tries so hard to stay on her own, but when she’s on so many people’s to-be-killed list, she needs help. Muse may have been a damsel in distress a few times, but she learned to trust in her other self and that's what really made this book for me. I'm glad Muse didn't choose the easy way out near the end of the book, I don't want to spoil anything, but if you've read it, you know what I mean. I am looking forward to reading the next book and finding out what happens to Muse, Stefan, and the rest of the crew.
